Hog Capitol Wildlife Rescue and Rehab offers help with a fox that has been spotted around the Annawan School recently. Foxes in populated areas are not uncommon. They may be looking for prey, such as squirrels, mice, etc. Feeding stray cats can also lure in wildlife. They are not a danger to Humans or Dogs. It is unethical for Wildlife rehabbers to catch a fox that is not sick or injured. If it’s thin, that’s what a fox normally looks like. It may have been a nursing mother who has weaned her kits. Keep your kids and pets away from it. You do not need to fear it attacking anyone at the school, just respect it’s space. If someone spots it, please try to get a zoomed in picture to post here in comments so they can evaluate it’s situation/health.
