Marcos F. Lopez, 37, of Chicago, was observed in a vehicle crash at US52 – Inlet Rd in Lee County on, Sunday, August 7, at 2:36 a.m. and was charged with Aggravated Driving Under the Influence of Alcohol, Driving Under the Influence of Alcohol, Driving While License Revoked, Operating Uninsured Motor Vehicle, Illegal Transportation of Alcohol, Improper Lane Usage, Failure to Reduce Speed to Avoid Accident, Disobeyed Stop Sign, and Speeding. Lopez was transported to the Lee County Jail.
Karsten Rae Kabak, 19, of Wilmette, was stopped for speeding on Thursday, August 4, at 6:04 p.m. on Interstate 88 eastbound at milepost 34 in Whiteside County and was charged with Obstructing A Peace Officer, Obstructing Identification, Speeding, Operating Uninsured Motor Vehicle, and No Valid Driver’s License. Kabak was released on an I-bond.

Kelsie A. White, age 32, of Dixon, Illinois, was arrested in the 800 Block of West Fifth Street on Wednesday August 10th,, at 9:15 P.M., for a Lee County Failure to Appear Warrant. White was released after posting bond with a court date.
Shawn C. Buntjer, age 50, of Dixon, Illinois, was arrested on 200 block of West River Street on August 10th, at 5:56 P.M., for Aggravated Battery to a Peace Officer. Buntjer was transported to the Lee County Correctional Center.
Josue C. Lucas, age 22, of Sterling, Illinois, was arrested in the 300 Block of South Galena Avenue on Thursday, August 11th, at 1:39 a.m., for Driving Under the Influence of Alcohol, Improper Traffic Lane Usage and Illegal Transportation of Alcohol. Lucas was processed and released with a pending court date.
