After giving testimony and advice to a federal lawmaker and state lawmaker a county clerk says the Automatic Voter Registration system should have more ways to check to see if the information they receive is correct. Sangamon County Clerk Don Gray says an actual vote is backed up on paper so why not voter registrations.

The AVR program is still up and running. Grey says as far as he can tell it is no longer registering people to vote who aren’t.
