After sharing that Coldplay was back in the studio last month, Chris Martin has revealed the title of the group’s next album.
In an interview with Canada’s CityNews, Martin says, “We’re finishing an album called Moon Music,” adding that it will be the “second Music of the Spheres volume.”
“That won’t come out for a little bit,” Martin clarifies. “We might start playing some songs at some point this year.”
Music of the Spheres, Coldplay’s most recent album, was released in October 2021. Upon that record’s release, Martin told NME that Coldplay will only put out three more studio albums, making a total of 12. He later shared that the final Coldplay album should arrive by 2025.
Meanwhile, Coldplay is set to play a run of North American tour dates in continued support of Music of the Spheres in September. You can also catch them performing on Saturday Night Live this weekend.
