Matthew A. Milby Sr., age 49, of Dixon, Illinois, was charged on February 11th, 2020 in the 15th Judicial Circuit Court of Lee County, Illinois for two counts of Solicitation of Murder for Hire, both being Class X Felonies.
The Dixon Police Department began a criminal investigation on or about July of 2019, after speaking to an individual who advised on different occasions, Matthew A. Milby Sr. had asked for the individual’s assistance in carrying out the murders of two people identified and known to Milby Sr. After completing the investigation, the Lee County State’s Attorney’s Office reviewed the case and filed the above-mentioned criminal charges. Milby Sr. was incarcerated in the Lee County Jail on an unrelated charge at the time of the new charges. Milby Sr.’s bond was set at $500,000 (10%), concurrent with his pending cases. No further information will be released at this time.

The charges are merely an allegation and all parties are presumed innocent until proven guilty.
