
On December 9th, 2019, the Dixon Police Department completed an investigation into the sale of illegal drugs in the Dixon area.
Members of the Dixon Police and Lee County Sheriff’s Office Joint Operations Group executed a search warrant at 803 South 1st Drive in Ashton, IL. The search warrant resulted with the arrest of Juan C. Urena, age 21, of Ashton.
During the execution of the search warrant, officers located 47 grams of methamphetamine, 459 grams of cannabis, and various pieces of equipment used during the packaging and distribution of illegal narcotics. Urena was also charged for multiple cocaine delivery charges.
Urena was charged with Possession with Intent to Deliver Methamphetamine (15 – 100 grams), a Class X Felony, Unlawful Possession of Methamphetamine (15-100 grams), a Class 1 Felony, three counts of Unlawful Delivery of a Controlled Substance (1-15 grams of cocaine), a Class 1 Felony, three counts of Unlawful Possession of a Controlled Substance (less than 15 grams of cocaine), a Class 4 Felony, Unlawful Possession of Cannabis with Intent to Deliver (100-500 grams), a Class 3 Felony, and Unlawful Possession of Cannabis (100-500 grams), a Class 4 Felony. Urena was processed and taken to the Lee County Jail.

The charges are merely an allegation and all parties are presumed innocent until proven guilty.
