Engineering Report: Possible issues with other balconies on Sea Isle condo building

An engineering report concludes that more work and investigation is needed on balconies at the Spinnaker Condominiums South Tower, where a balcony collapse killed one last month. Parrallel Architectural Group of Long Branch was called to check the structural integrity of the tower after the accident and recovery effort by first responders. While their report did not find significant structural damage, it did recommend a more thorough investigation of the balconies of units 412, 512 and 612, directly below the collapse site, and discovered other balconies on the tower, while structurally intact, show deterioration that needs to be addressed. Ferguson Contracting of Yardley PA was in the process of re-cementing the balconies on the north side of the building on February 24 when an eighth floor balcony collapsed onto the seventh. The South building remains evacuated but residents of the North tower were previously allowed to return to their homes.
