Four Wethersfield Teachers to Retire at the End of Current School Year

The Wethersfield community will be celebrating the retirement of four long time teachers at the end of the current school year. Wethersfield Superintendent Shane Kazubowski announced on Wednesday, in an appearance on WKEI's People to People program, that four well known and beloved teachers will be ending their remarkable careers at the end of the current school year…

As Mr. Kazubowski said that's a great deal of experience that is retiring all at once but that also means fresh starts and fresh new faces are in the immediate future at Wethersfield. First some current staff members are going to new positions…

As part of the hiring process for bringing in new teachers, Shane Kazubowski explained that part of the criteria was choosing new hires with existing ties to the community and the goal of being with the Wethersfield School District for many years to come… 

New teachers joining the staff in the next school year include Courtney Rumbold, new Kindergarten teacher along with Sidney Vincent, another new Kindergarten teacher. Also joining the staff are the husband and wife duo of Tony and Caitlyn Gripp, currently teachers in the Bureau Valley School District who will be making the move to Wethersfield for the next school year. Tony Gripp will become the new Junior High Math teacher while Caitlyn will be taking over 3rd grade.
