The Galva City Council met on Monday night at Galva City Hall. Mayor Rich Volkert spoke to WKEI about the meeting and the items on the agenda including a presentation about community development from Hometown Consultants. The City Council then approved a brand new Blue Star Program. The Blue Star Program has citizens going through a process to become a safe place for kids to go if they feel in danger. The Blue Star Program was in place years ago and the Council has decided to bring it back. If Galva residents would like more information about the Blue Star Program and being a safe place for kids, contact Galva City Hall. Mayor Rich Volkert was our guest on Wake Up Tri-Counties on Wednesday.
