September 12
Officer was dispatched to the 200 block of NW 1st Ave for a complaint of an out-of-control juvenile.
Officer was dispatched to the 500 block of NW 8th Street for a disturbance involving a subject with a baseball bat against another subject with a large butcher knife. After an investigation, the report was unfounded.
Officer was flagged down about a civil standby to retrieve property in the 500 block of NW 8th Street.
Officer was dispatched to a traffic complaint in the 200 block of SW 2nd Ave. The complainant was concerned about a female driving a lawn mower pulling a young child in a lawn cart. The subject was located and spoken to about the dangers involving the 3 year old child.
Officer was dispatched to the 200 block of NW 1st Ave for a domestic disturbance involving a juvenile.
September 13
Officer spoke to a complainant by phone in reference to an incident that reportedly happened on a school bus. The SRO reviewed the bus video and determined this incident did not happen as reported. Unfounded.
Officer was dispatched to the 500 block of SE 2nd Street to recover a used needle that was found in the area. It was collected for destruction.
Officer was flagged down by a citizen in the 800 block of NW 5th Ave by a citizen who had questions for an officer.
Officer was advised of a controlled burn that was taking place at the south sewer treatment plant.
Officer was dispatched to the 1300 block of SE 2nd Street for an activated burglar alarm. It was determined to be a false alarm.
Officer, along with the fire department, were dispatched to assist Knox County with a vehicle fire south of town on Knox Rd 2800 North. Knox Co also responded and arrested a subject for DUI.
September 14
Officer spoke to a subject by telephone that was having a mental health crisis.
Officer was dispatched to the 100 block of NW 7th Ave for a complaint involving animal neglect. The pet owner was contacted and the dogs were removed from the property.
Officer went to a residence in the 300 block of SE 3rd Street for a city ordinance violation. The officer explained how to get rid of furniture items properly.
Officer was dispatched to a residence on NE 9th Street to check the welfare of a subject. They were fine.
Officer was dispatched to Wiley Park for a complaint involving an adult subject approaching a young child and giving the child an unknown item.
Officer was dispatched to the 400 block of SE 2nd Street for a loose dog complaint. The animal owner responded and caught the dog.
Officer was dispatched to the 300 block of Commercial Street to check the welfare of a subject that was calling Henry Co dispatch. It was determined to be a mental health situation.
September 15
Officer, along with Stark Co Medic, were dispatched to a residence on NE 4th Ave for a possible overdose call. The subject was unresponsive. Narcan was used and the patient was transported by ambulance.
After conducting follow up from an incident in Wiley Park last night, the male subject involved was served with a banning letter, which prohibits him from returning to city parks.
Officer received a complaint of graffiti on the new band shell in Wiley Park. It was determined to be sidewalk chalk and was able to be rinsed off.
Officer was dispatched to a residence on SE 4th Street to conduct a welfare check. The subject was fine.
Officer was dispatched to the 300 block of NE 2nd Street for a complaint involving out-of-control juveniles.
Officer was dispatched to the 100 block of NE 9th Street for a 9-1-1 hang up call. It was determined to be a mis dial.
Officer was dispatched back to the 300 block of NE 2nd Street for a complaint involving two juveniles that ran away from home. The subjects returned home about 25 minutes later.
Officer was dispatched to a suspicious vehicle complaint in the 1000 block of SE 2nd Street. Officer checked the area for a car driving around with no lights on, but was not able to locate it.
Officer was dispatched to the 00 block of NW 4th Street for investigate the smell of smoke or fire in the area. Unable to locate the source.
Officer was dispatched to the 500 block of SW 4th Street for a suspicious vehicle complaint. The vehicle left prior to officer’s arrival.
As the result of a traffic stop in the 900 block of SE 2nd Street, Michael Gray, 49, Kewanee, was arrested for driving while license suspended and operating an uninsured vehicle. He was released with a required court date.
September 16
Officer was dispatched to the 200 block of Morgan Road for a suspicious vehicle complaint. Officer spoke to the occupants, who were registering a new student at the school.
Officer was dispatched to the 200 block of Market Street for a 9-1-1 call that plotted there. It was determined to be a young child playing with a phone.
Officer was dispatched to the 700 block of NW 5th Ave to assist a citizen who had questions for an officer.
Officer went to the 00 block of NE 9th Street to follow up on a complaint. As the result, Randy McGinnis, 62, Galva, was arrested for production or possession of cannabis sativa plants. He was released with a required court date.
Officer was dispatched to check on a suspicious person standing near the intersection of Market St and Exchange St. The subject was out for a walk and had stopped to take a break.
Officer was dispatched to the 300 block of Commercial Street for a motorist assist complaint.
September 17
Officer was dispatched to the 800 block of NE 3rd Ave for a neighbor dispute.
Officer assisted Henry Co with a traffic stop on West Division Street.

September 18
Officer was dispatched to the 600 block of NW 1st Ave for a 9-1-1 hang up call. It was determined to be a mis dial.
As the result of a traffic stop in the 900 block of North Center Ave, Vincent Lavierei, 70, Naperville, was arrested for speeding more than 35mph over posted limit. He was released with a required court date.

Chester Oleson, 57, Bradford, was issued a citation for having expired registration in the 600 SE 2nd Street.
Cleverette Conley, 23, Kewanee, was issued a citation for having tinted front side windows in the 00 block of NE 5th Street.
September 17
Francisco Soto, 69, Stickney, IL, was issued a citation for speeding in the 900 block of North Center Ave.
Angel Berthoud, 26, East Moline, was issued a citation for speeding in the 1000 block of North Center Ave.
September 18
Stephanie Hofner, 56, Naperville, was issued a citation for speeding in the 900 block of North Center Ave.
Clayton Wiggin, 39, Kewanee, was issued a citation for speeding in the 1000 block of North Center Ave.
Elizabeth Kelley, 41, Kewanee, was issued a citation for speeding in the 1000 block of North Center Ave.
Jason Charlet, 34, Kewanee, was issued a citation for speeding in the 1000 block of North Center Ave.
Lanna Case, 37, Utica, was issued a citation for speeding in the 1000 block of North Center Ave.
Sabastian Phelps, 29, Kewanee, was issued a citation for not having a valid drivers license in the 1000 block of North Center Ave.
