September 5
Officer was dispatched to the 300 block of SE 5th Street for a suspicious person complaint. The suspect was located and had been walking through yards to get to her destination faster. She was advised to use public property to travel.
Officer was dispatched to a 9-1-1 hang up call in the 900 block of NW 6th Street. It was determined to be an accidental misdial.
Officer assisted the ambulance with emergency calls on NE 3rd Ave and NW 2nd Street.
Officer was dispatched to a domestic disturbance in the 400 block of East Division Street.
Officer was dispatched to the 400 block of SE 7th Ave for a domestic disturbance.
September 6
Officer was dispatched to assist a citizen in the 300 block of NW 4th Ave in regards to questions about a trespassing notice they had been served.
Officer was dispatched to an address in Victoria to assist Knox Co with a physical domestic disturbance.
Officer was dispatched to the 100 block of SE 2nd Ave for a suspicious person complaint. Officer checked the area and wasn’t able to locate the suspect.
September 7
Officer met with a subject at the Galva PD to update their annual sex offender paperwork.
Officer was dispatched to the 100 block of Main Street for a physical domestic disturbance in progress.
Officer was dispatched to the 200 block of NW 1st Ave to assist a citizen who had questions for an officer.
September 8
Officer, along with Stark Co Medic, the Henry Co Sheriff’s Office, and the fire department, were dispatched to a car vs semi accident about 3 miles west of town on Route 34. Henry Co handled the report.
Officer was dispatched to a residence on NW 7th Ave for a welfare check.
Officer was dispatched to a residence on SW 4th Ave to remove an unwanted subject. The subject was also served a “short form order of protection”, which prohibited him to have any further contact with the complainant.
Officer was dispatched to the 100 block of NW 7th Ave for a landlord/ tenant dispute.
Officer was dispatched to the 200 block of SE 1st Ave for a burning complaint. The resident was having a small bonfire.
Officer was dispatched to the 500 block of SE 4th Street for a neighbor dispute.
September 9
Officer was dispatched to a residence on SE 3rd Street for a welfare check.
Officer was dispatched to the 100 block of SE 3rd Street to answer questions for an officer.
Officer spoke to a resident in the 300 block of NW 6th Ave for a city ordinance violation. The resident was given time to take care of violations.
Officer was dispatched to a residence on NE 1st Ave to remove an unwanted subject.
September 10
Officer was dispatched to the area around Wiley Park for a juvenile playing loud music. The subject was advised to turn it down.
Officer was dispatched to the 300 block of Front Street for a suicidal subject. The subject was transported to a hospital for treatment / evaluation.
As the result of an illegal burning complaint in the 300 block of NE 2nd Street, Richard Potter, 57, Galva, was issued an administrative warning ticket (AWT) for illegal burning of furniture.
Officer was dispatched to the 500 block of NW 8th Street for a verbal disturbance.
Officer was dispatched to the 400 block of NE 2nd Ave for a disturbance.
September 11
Officer was dispatched to the 400 block of NW 2nd Street for a stray cat complaint. Officer was not able to locate.
Officer was dispatched to the 200 block of NW 1st Ave for a civil standby to retrieve property.
As the result of a traffic stop in the 1200 block of SE 2nd Street, Annabelle Twomey, 21, Galva, was arrested for operating a vehicle with suspended registration, failure to secure a child under the age of 8 in a proper restraint, operating an uninsured vehicle, and speeding. She was released with a required court date.
Officer met with a resident at the Galva PD to update their annual sex offender paperwork.
As the result of a traffic stop in the 1000 block of North Center Ave, Faith Gibson, 21, Davenport, was arrested for speeding 26mph to 34mph over the posted speed limit. She was released with a required court date.
Officer was dispatched to the Galva PD for a child custody exchange that was supposed to take place. One of the subjects did not show up for the exchange.

September 5
Mark Preston, 53, Reynolds, was issued a citation for illegal widow tint on his windshield in the 1000 block of North Center Ave.
September 11
Paul Colucci, 24, Monmouth, was issued a citation for speeding in the 600 block of West Division Street.
