Grandson and K.Flay have joined forces to record a new song, “Peaches.”

The acoustic track finds the “Blood//Water” rocker and the “Blood in the Cut” artist trading off verses and harmonizing on the chorus, in which they sing about turning their “pain into peaches.” You can download “Peaches” now via digital outlets.

“Peaches” is the first entry in grandson’s new XXwhy project, during which he’ll release a new, acoustic song with another artist for every month leading up to this year’s U.S. presidential election. Each song will be accompanied by an episode of the XXwhy podcast, which will feature performances and discussions with the collaborators.

With XXwhy, grandson will also encourage voter registration. Each song released as part of the campaign will include the phrase “Text Voter XX to 40649” in the title. Texting that number will allow you to receive updates about how you can register to vote in your area.

If you do text that number, you’ll also be entered to win an Epiphone guitar signed by grandson and his collaborator for the month.
