House Finance Committee to Hear Tax on Trades Bill

The Illinois House Finance Committee could soon hear a bill that would place a $1.00 tax on all trades that take place in the state of Illinois. It's a bill that could, potentially, bring revenue in the range of $6 billion dollars to the state. That said, the bill is opposed by Governor J.B Pritzker who is concerned that the stock exchanges would simply move their servers to avoid the tax. More from reporter Cole Lauterbach has more…
