Ex-Creedence Clearwater Revival frontman John Fogerty has announced plans to close out his long-running My 50 Year Trip tour with a new series of nine Las Vegas residency dates at Encore Theater at the Wynn resort and casino in November.
The new concerts are scheduled for November 4, 6, 7, 11, 13, 14, 18, 20 and 21. Tickets go on sale this Friday, February 28, at 10 a.m. PT. Visit JohnFogerty.com and WynnLasVegas.com for more details.
Fogerty’s My 50 Year Trip tour, which began in early 2019, in part celebrates the 50th anniversary of CCR’s classic hit “Proud Mary” and the band’s appearance at the historic 1969 Woodstock festival. The performances include a variety of Creedence classics, tunes from his solo career and a variety of cover songs that other artists played at Woodstock.
The 74-year-old Rock & Roll Hall of Famer began doing Vegas residencies in early 2016, and he tells ABC Audio that he really enjoys performing for the fans that come to see him in Sin City.
“A lot of them are the same people that I would be visiting in their town, out…on the East Coast or in the Midwest or in the South,” Fogerty notes. “It’s kind of convenient. They come up to Las Vegas, call it a little vacation for them and maybe their family…and enjoy that.”Prior to the fall Vegas residency, Fogerty has a trio of shows next month lined up in the Western U.S., three more concerts that will take place in the Northeast in April, and an August 19 performance at the famed Hollywood Bowl in Los Angeles. He also will play a few European shows in June.
