Mendota came into Monday’s playoff game against Kewanee with a 4 and 15 record but they didn’t play like a team with a 4 and 15 record as they scored 3 runs in the first inning and four runs in the second inning and managed to hold off the comeback minded Kewanee Boilermakers 8 to 7. James Conner and Noah Tiska each had two RBI’s, Will Bruno had three hits and scored 2 runs but it was not enough in the end for the Boilermakers.
