James Paige of Neponset has been arrested and charged with multiple felonies related to soliciting a child. According to the Kewanee Police Department, James R Paige was arrested on February 6th following an investigation that turned up evidence that Paige was allegedly soliciting to meet a minor, soliciting for pornographic material over the internet and engaging in Grooming a child for these activities. Paige was arrested after making arrangements to meet a child in Kewanee. Instead, Paige was met by Kewanee Police who arrested him and charged him with Indecent Solicitation of a Child Using the Internet, Grooming, Solicitation to Meet a Minor, Solicitation of Child Pornography, and Possession of a Controlled Substance. Solicitation of Child Pornography is a Felony Offense that could carry between 4 and 15 years in Jail. Paige will have a preliminary hearing at the Henry County Courthouse on February 18th. Kewanee Police were aided in the case by the Macomb Police Department and the McDonough County Sheriff's Office.
