
An Aurora, Illinois man is under arrest for an armed robbery that occurred in January of this year. According to a release from the Kewanee Police Department, 26 year old Cornelius McCrary was arrested on February 7th and was formally charged with armed robbery with a firearm, aggravated robbery, obstructing justice, obstructing identification, and theft. The incident occurred on January 13th when a woman called police to say that she'd been seated in her vehicle in the 800 block of Chestnut when the suspect approached her and pointed a gun before demanding money from the victim. McCrary is currently being held at the Henry County Jail on $100,000 bond. He has a preliminary hearing scheduled on February 18th, 2020 at 1:00 pm at the Henry County Courthouse.
