On 11/16/2023 at 12:30 am LaSalle County Deputies investigated a single vehicle accident with minor injuries in the area of 3323 E 2153rdRD. (Rutland TWP) Shawn Christensen (38) of Marseilles was driving southeast on E 2153rd RD, negotiating a curve when he lost control of his vehicle striking a road sign and a mailbox coming to a stop in a ravine. Shawn was cited for failure to reduce speed/accident, improper lane usage, operating uninsured vehicle, failure to wear seat belt, illegal transportation of alcohol and arrested for DUI alcohol. He was later released with a NTA.
