On 11/14/2023 at 1:35 pm LaSalle County Deputies investigated a two vehicle accident with no injuries at the intersection of RT 52 & E 2351st RD. (Serena TWP) Alann Hardy (41) of Ottawa was driving west on RT 52 when a vehicle disobeyed the stop sign traveling south on E 2351st RD. Alann’s vehicle struck the other vehicles back left corner in the middle of the intersection. Mark Corpus (53) of Spring Valley, IL was driving south on E 2351st RD when he disobeyed the stop sign causing Alann’s vehicle to strike the back left corner of his vehicle.
On 11/17/2023 at 9:17 pm LaSalle County Deputies conducted a traffic stop in the area of RT 23 & N 42nd RD. (Serena TWP) Brenda Nichols (60) of Dekalb, IL was cited for speeding 71 mph in a 55 mph zone.
On 11/17/2023 at 10:26 pm LaSalle County Deputies conducted a traffic stop in the area of RT 18 & E 10th RD. (Richland TWP) Tajuan Akins (45) of Streator was cited for speeding 74 mph in a 55 mph zone.
On 11/18/2023 at 4:33 pm LaSalle County Deputies conducted a traffic stop in the area of Norris ST & Guyon ST. (Ottawa TWP) Danu Tomuz (25) of South Elgin, IL was cited for operating motor vehicle with suspended registration. He was released with a NTA.
On 11/18/2023 at 4:39 pm LaSalle County Deputies investigated a two vehicle accident with no injuries at the intersection of Champlain ST & Retz DR. (Ottawa TWP) Jenna Harper (38) of Peru was stopped at the intersection on Retz DR when a vehicle turned left onto Retz DR from Champlain ST and struck the front end of her vehicle. Daniel Smith (65) of Ottawa turned left onto Retz DR in front of Jenna and struck the front end of her vehicle. Daniel was cited for improper turn at intersection and Jenna was cited for driving while foreign license suspended.
