On 3/2/2023 at 9:20 pm LaSalle County Deputies investigated a single vehicle accident car Vs deer with no injuries in the area of RT 251 & N 25th RD. (Peru TWP) Kelly Smith (52) of Oglesby was driving south on RT 251 when a deer ran onto the roadway. She was unable to avoid the deer and struck it with the front end of her vehicle.
On 3/3/2023 at 5:47 pm LaSalle County Deputies conducted a traffic stop in the area of RT 251 & N 24th RD. (LaSalle TWP) Jay Wardyn (58) of LaSalle was cited for speeding 75 mph in a 55 mph zone.
On 3/3/2023 at 11:50 pm LaSalle County Deputies investigated a single vehicle accident car Vs deer with no injuries in the area of RT 6 & RT 178. (Utica TWP) Rebecca Fecht (26) of Peru was driving west on RT 6 when a deer ran onto the roadway. She was unable to avoid the deer and it struck the passenger side of her vehicle.
