Macomb Bombers Advance in the IHSA Tournament

The Macomb Bombers boy's high school basketball team will advance in the IHSA State Playoff run as they defeated the Rushville-Industry Rockets. 

 

It was a fight in the first half with many lead changes, Rushville will score but the Bombers would answer right back. With one minute leftism the first half, senior Carter Sutton got an and-one bucket and completed the three-point play. That changed the momentum for the Bombers as Carter had 8 points in the first half, but still, the score was 20-19 Rushville- Industry ahead. 

 

However, in the second half, the Bombers came out hot, extending their lead to 5 points before the Rockets coach had to take a timeout. As the quarter went on the lead got larger, Bombers will end the third quarter with a score of 34-27. From there they didn’t let their foot off the gas, showcasing excellent defense the game would end with a score of 58-41. The senior Bomber duo Carter Sudden and Sam Allen combined for 31 points. 

 

The Bombers advance and will face the Farmington Farmers tonight. The tip-off is at 7 P.M.
