
MACOMB, IL – Several Macomb rail crossings were temporarily closed Tuesday evening after authorities responded to an accident involving a train and a pedestrian.
According to a press release issued by the Macomb Police Department, first responders arrived at the train tracks west of Bower Road in Macomb and found the pedestrian, who was later determined by Macomb Fire Department and Life Guard Ambulance to have expired. Several rail crossings were temporarily closed during the preliminary investigation, but have since re-opened.
The investigation is currently on-going by Macomb Police, and at this time there is no indication of foul play.
