Megadeth is getting back in the studio.
In a Facebook post marking the end of their European tour with Five Finger Death Punch and Bad Wolves last weekend, the thrash legends wrote that they’re going to record their next album before returning to the road this summer for their North American outing with Lamb of God.
“We are heading home for a brief break, record album 16 and then preparing for our summer tour with Lamb of God,” the post reads.
The new album, the follow-up to 2016’s Dystopia, has been in the works for some time now, but was put on hold due to frontman Dave Mustaine‘s throat cancer diagnosis. Earlier this year, Mustaine revealed on stage that he’s now “100 percent free of cancer.”
Megadeth’s tour with Lamb of God, which also will include In Flames and Trivium on the bill, kicks off on June 12 in Bristow, Virginia.
