
There are at least 2,500 layoffs coming to Illinois according to the latest report from the Illinois Department of Commerce and Economic Opportunity. Companies with mass layoffs are required to report them to the state in advance. The largest number of layoffs from seven companies reporting to the state in January was Pinnacle Logistics at the Rockford International Airport. Pinnacle is closing, permanently impacting 1,300 jobs. LSC Communications in Coles County also is closing, impacting nearly 800 jobs.
