A New Windsor man is under arrest this morning following an investigation by the Illinois State Police regarding child pornography. 59 year old James A Pierson of New Windsor was arrested on Wednesday morning and charged with three counts of Disseminating Child Pornography (Class X Felonies). Pierson is currently lodged in the Mercer County Jail; his bond has been set at $500,000. The investigation involved multiple law enforcement agencies including the Mercer County Sheriff’s Office, Kewanee Police Department, New Windsor Police Department, Illinois Attorney General’s Office – Illinois Internet Crimes Against Children (ICAC), and federal authorities.
