Oasis remains broken up, but the Gallagher brothers are still keeping busy.
Noel just released a new song with his High Flying Birds solo band, titled “Come on Outside.” According to Gallagher, the tune actually dates back to the Oasis days.
“So I’m rummaging down the back of the couch and found this f***er!” Noel says of “Come on Outside.” “Maybe the last great Oasis tune? Maybe not.”
“Come on Outside” is include on the upcoming High Flying Birds EP Blue Moon Rising, due out March 6.
Meanwhile, Liam, who released his new solo album Why Me? Why Not. last September, spoke in a new interview with NME about the prospect of Oasis getting back together.
“It is gonna happen, believe you me,” Liam said, although he thinks that Noel would only want a reunion for financial reasons.
“It’s gonna happen very f***ing soon because [Noel’s] greedy and he loves money,” Liam said. “He knows that it’s got to happen soon or it won’t happen.”
This, of course, is Oasis we’re talking about, so it’s probably not a good idea to get your hopes up. Then again, The Black Crowes are back together, so perhaps anything’s possible.
