Allen Ray Black, 75, of Colchester passed away at 5:30 p.m. Monday, August 29, 2022 at his residence.

He was born on November 18, 1946 in Macomb to Ray and Margaret Lescallatte Black. He married Paula Foster on October 16, 2010 in Macomb. She survives.

Also surviving are one daughter, Kerri (Michael) Mack; step-children, Paul and Jeanie Albright, Ben and Taylor Albright, Mikah Albright and Taylor Huchins; seven grandchildren and one sister-in-law, Theresa Black.

He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Gary Black.

Allen has lived all of his life in Macomb. He worked for Building Services at Western Illinois University for 30 years. He was a Navy veteran serving during the Vietnam War.

He is a member of the First Baptist Church of Macomb.

Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Friday, September 2, 2022 at Clugston-Tibbitts Funeral Home in Macomb with Pastor Wally Holt officiating. Visitation will be held one hour prior to services on Friday at the funeral home. Full military rites will be accorded following the services at the funeral home by the Macomb Legion and Macomb VFW. Private family burial will be in the Rock Island National Cemetery in Rock Island.

Memorials may be made to Alheimer’s Association, Cancer Society, Macomb American Legion or Maacomb VFW.
