Albert L. Voight, 79, of Macomb, Illinois, passed away at 3:40 PM Monday April 3, 2023 at the Illinois Veteran Home in Quincy, Illinois.

He was born Oct. 17, 1943 in Macomb, Illinois to Albert and Gladys (Douglas) Voight; he married Janice (Cook) Bainter on June 27, 2003. She preceded him in death on Oct. 2, 2021.

He was also preceded in death by his parents and 2 brothers, Water E. and Rick Voight.

He is survived by his step children, Rod Bainter of Highland, Indiana, Terri (Chris) Twidwell of Rowlett, Texas, Jeff Bainter of Phoenix, Arizona; 7 step-grandchildren and 7 step-great-grandchildren.

He served in the US Navy from 1962-1966.

He was a Macomb Firefighter for several years. He was a member of the Macomb VFW and Macomb American Legion.

Graveside services will be held at 1:00 PM Thursday April 6, 2023 at Oakwood Cemetery with Military Rites. There will be no visitation. Memorial Contributions may be made to the Macomb VFW or Tunnel to Towers Foundation. Dodsworth-Piper-Wallen Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
