Bobbi Lane Higgins Polite, of Peoria, Illinois, formerly of Macomb, Illinois; left this earth for a better place on December 31, 2022. She was born September 12, 1957, to Joseph R. Higgins and Carolyn Lane in Quincy, Illinois.

Bobbi grew up most of her life in Macomb graduating from Macomb High in 1975.

She married Barry Lane Polite in 1978.

Bobbi operated her own grooming salon for many years. She later moved to Peoria, Illinois, and became a drug and alcohol abuse counselor. She spent the last twenty years helping others recover from the disease of addiction. She returned to Macomb in 2018, because of illness and resided with her mother and stepfather, Donald Raymond.

She is survived by her mother, stepfather, and a half-brother, Rickey Higgins of Peoria, Illinois.

She is preceded in death by her father, Joseph Higgins, her husband, Barry Lane polite, and a half brother, David Higgins of Peoria, IL.

Graveside Services will be 1:30 PM Thursday Jan. 5, 2023 at Oakwood Cemetery. Dale Atkins will officiate. There will be no visitation. Memorial Contributions may be made to the McDonough County Animal Shelter. Dodsworth-Piper-Wallen Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
