Dannie Lee Bishop, 79, of Macomb, Illinois, passed away at 4:50 PM Friday June 16, 2023 at the Elms Nursing Home in Macomb.

He was born July 22, 1943 in Canton, Illinois to Albert and Isabelle (Walton) Bishop; he married Sharon Louise Walsh on Sept. 15, 1961. She preceded him in death on January 6, 1998.

He was also preceded in death by his parents and brothers, Dale and Scott Bishop.

He is survived by his children Dannie Guy and Kelly (O’Donnell) Bishop of New Berlin, Wisconsin and Sheila Bishop of Colchester, Illinois; grandchildren Jon and Lisa (Zeman) Bishop, Brandon and Ashley (Arrington) Bishop, Christine (Bishop) and Dayton Lueck, Jocylin (Twait) and Peter Howerter and Skylar Twait. Great Grandchildren Jon, Bryson and Jason Bishop, Hailey and Brandon Bishop JR, Camden and McKenna Lueck and Eloise Howerter.

He worked at the Fort Drive in Theater in Macomb for 28 years and Citizens National Bank for 32 years.

He was a member of the Macomb Police and McDonough County Sheriffs Auxiliary.

Cremation has been accorded.

Private Burial of ashes will be held at Oakwood Cemetery. Memorial Contributions may be made to MDH Hospice Program or Meals on Wheels YMCA of Macomb.
