The 50 Heavy Metal Years trek kicks off September 9 on Oxon Hill, Maryland, and is mapped out through an October 17 concert in Las Vegas. The trek, which features 24 shows in all, includes two performances near New York City, as well as stops including Philadelphia; Charlotte, North Carolina; Detroit; Chicago; Minneapolis; Milwaukee; St. Louis; Oklahoma City; Dallas; San Antonio; Denver; Salt Lake City; Phoenix; and Los Angeles.

“Judas Priest are primed and ready to deliver the goods with our 50 Heavy Metal Years anniversary celebration stage show spectacular!” the band says in a joint statement. “Performing a blistering cross section of songs from our lives in metal — we can’t wait to raise horns with you again at this once in a metal lifetime event!”

Tickets for most of the concerts will go on sale to the general public this Friday, February 28, at 10 a.m. local time. Veteran Swedish heavy metal act Sabaton will be the opening act at the majority of the shows. Judas Priest’s September 18 performance in Orlando, Florida, will be part of the Rebel Rock Festival, which also will feature Sevendust, Fuel, Trivium, Sabaton and more.
