Sergeant-at-Arms Jerry Brearton represented The American Legion Post 328 in Morrison IL by volunteering with the VFWs & American Legions of the Rockford area in running the snack counter for the athletes at the Illinois Special Olympics 2020 Winter Games at Chestnut Mountain in Galena IL.
Winter Games is one of 11 state sports competitions. It is the culminating competition for those participating in Alpine Skiing and Snowshoeing. Winter Games is hosted at Chestnut Mountain in Galena, IL. Over 450 athletes compete in this 3-day event and show off their winning form!
Competition is offered in Alpine Skiing and Snowshoeing. Athletes cannot participate in more than one sport.
Sports competition ran from Tuesday, Feb. 4, to today, Thursday, Feb. 6. The public is invited and encouraged to attend any and all parts of Special Olympics Illinois Winter Games.
