World Wide Technology Raceway at Gateway (Madison, IL) has announced an educational and promotional asset to enhance the raceway’s commitment to STEM education programs in the St. Louis and surrounding community. Based on a NASCAR Truck Series racer, the cutaway vehicle will be used at various science, technology, engineering and mathematics events hosted by the track throughout the region. Track spokesman John Bisci says this is a way you may be able to find a good-paying career in an exciting field.
He says the vehicle’s body has been cut off on one side to show what it looks like underneath the sheet metal, and the engine has been cut in half too in order to show the inner workings of that part of the car.
