Representative Cheri Bustos is coming to Kewanee on Sunday afternoon. WKEI has been informed by organizers that Representative Bustos will be appearing at the Community Black History Extravaganza on Sunday afternoon at 2 Pm at First United Methodist Church, 108 West Central Boulevard in Kewanee. Representative Bustos will be among many local leaders attending the event including State Representative Dan Swanson and the Kewanee Mayor and City Council. The theme for this year's Community Black History Extravaganza is Empowering the Generations. Reverend Lawrence Anderson from Second Baptist Church in Kewanee will be a featured speaker and the Choirs from Wethersfield and Kewanee Schools will also be on hand. There is no cost to attend.
