Richard McDonald, 57, of Kewanee threatened to shoot Great Dane employees on Thursday Morning causing a lockdown of the facility and a city-wide search by police.  McDonald called his former employer three times threatening to shoot and kill employees because he was fired.  Kewanee Police provided security at the facility on Kentville Road but McDonald wasn’t on the property.  Police tracked him down and arrested him Thursday afternoon at a friends house on the West side of Kewanee, no weapons were recovered during his apprehension.  The State’s Attorney’s Office officially charged McDonald with Making Terrorist Threats (Class X Felony), Failure to Report Change of Address or Employment and Notification/No Fixed Address as Required under the Sexual Offender Registration Act (Class 3 Felonies).  Judge Dana McReynolds found probable cause and set bond at $150,000 (10%) on September 22, 2022.  A Preliminary Hearing is scheduled for September 26, 2022, at 1 PM in Courtroom 1.  McDonald was assigned a Public Defender.
