Rock Island Sheriffs and Moline Police End Standoff Peacefully with Arrest of Barstow Man

Moline Police, the Rock Island County Sheriff's Office and several other assisting members of law enforcement were part of a standoff in Barstow, Illinois in the early hours of Monday, February 24th. According to a release from the Moline Police Department, the situation arose when Police went to serve a warrant for the arrest of 47 year old Ronny H Anderson at a residence in Barstow. The suspect was wanted on a Federal warrant for a charge of Felon in Possession of a weapon when Police knocked on his door on Monday. Anderson, seeing Police outside barricaded himself inside the home leading to the standoff. Moline Police called in the Rock Island County Sheriff's Office for assistance and a two hour stalemate ensued before Ronny H Anderrson finally peacefull surrendered to law enforcement. Anderson is now in the custody of the U.S Marshall Service on Federal Gun Charges.
