Roger Waters has added three new concerts to his recently announced This Is Not a Drill 2020 Tour of North America, due to “overwhelming demand.”
The shows will take place on July 11 at Wells Fargo Center in Philadelphia, on July 18 at Scotiabank Arena in Toronto, and September 26 at Chase Center in San Francisco. The concerts are the second and final shows that the founding Pink Floyd singer/bassist will play at these venues during the trek.
Waters also will play previously announced gigs at Wells Fargo Center on July 10, at Scotiabank Arena on July 17 and at Chase Center on September 25.
Tickets for to the newly added shows go on sale to the general public starting this Friday, February 28, at 10 a.m. ET for the Philadelphia and Toronto concerts, and 12 p.m. PT for the San Francisco performance. Pre-sale tickets will be available starting Wednesday, February 26, at 10 a.m. local time. Visit RogerWaters.com for more details.
As previously reported, Waters’ This Is Not a Drill tour kicks off July 8 in Pittsburgh and is scheduled through an October 3 concert in Dallas. The shows will be staged “in the round.”
In a video released when the tour was initially announced, Waters explains that he was inspired to hit the road again because he thinks it’s important to get across his political message to people at a time of great upheaval in the world. “As the clock ticks faster and faster and faster down to extinction, it seemed like a good idea to make a fuss about it,” Roger said. “So that’s why I’m going on the road.”
