The Bushnell Prairie City’s boy’s basketball team will travel to Carthage Illinois tonight to play the Illini West Chargers in a conference matchup. The Spartans have done well-facing teams in their conference because they are undefeated with a 5-0 record.
In addition, the Spartans have been excellent on the road this season, as they are 6-4 when it comes to away games. Not to mention, the Spartans have the momentum coming off a 68-53 win against the Cuba/Spoon River Valley Wild. Only a few more games left before the Spartans begin their postseason play.
The Chargers haven't done so well this season as they are on a 7 game losing streak and post a record of 2-25 games in the season. This game against the Spartans will be there very last of the season. They will give the Spartans trouble as they try to wrap their season up strong.
After returning back from Carthage, the Spartans will host Knoxville on February 21st, and then Camp Point Central for their season finale. Tip-off for Bushnell Prairie city and the Illini West Chargers is scheduled for 7:30 pm tonight.
