After wrapping up a stint on the ’70s Rock & Romance Cruise, Moody Blues singer/bassist John Lodge will head out on a 12-date U.S. solo tour that kicks off Saturday, February 22, in Dania Beach, Florida. Lodge reveals to ABC Audio that he’ll have a surprise guest joining him on all the shows, current Yes frontman Jon Davison.”Jon’s doing something special…so you gotta come along,” Lodge teases.

Lodge says he decided to invite Davison to take part in his trek after the two performed together regularly last summer on the Yes-headlined Royal Affair Tour, which also featured Asia and Carl Palmer’s ELP Legacy.

“We sang [John Lennon‘s] ‘Imagine’ together [during Yes’ encore set],” Lodge explains. “So…it became a really good vocal partnership on that and, yeah, we’re gonna continue it through this tour.”

Lodge also notes that during his own Royal Affair Tour set, Davison joined him to perform the Moody Blues classic “Ride My See-Saw.”

He adds that he’s lucky that Davison can take part in his tour, since Yes’ own 2020 trek doesn’t start until he wraps up his shows. Lodge tells ABC Audio that he hopes Davison also will be available to play more concerts later in the year.

Lodge’s tour runs through a March 8 concert in Lexington, Massachusetts. Check out all the dates at

Meanwhile, The Moody Blues haven’t toured since late 2018, and Lodge reports that while he’d love play live again with the group, the other core members don’t currently feel the same.”It’s just down to the rest of the guys, Justin [Hayward] and Graeme [Edge], to say yes,” he tells ABC Audio. “If they say yes, we’re on the road. And until then, I’m just going to keep the music alive myself.”
