The Annual Galva Chamber of Commerce Ol’ Fashioned Christmas event is on Saturday, November 25, 2023, from 9 AM to 9 PM in downtown Galva. There is still time to register for the lighted parade, register online, email [email protected], send a message through Facebook, or call Stacy at 309-932-8181 between 8 AM and 4 PM Monday through Friday. The lineup for the lighted parade begins at 4 PM and the parade begins at 5 PM, followed by the lighting of Veterans Park. From 1-4 PM on Saturday, the Galva Girl Scout Troop #2236 is hosting a toy drive for children ages newborn to 15 years old. They will set up a table next to Veterans Park. Drop off unwrapped toys and gifts during the Galva Ol’ Fashioned Christmas event to support the local Love Tree. A full list of events is below but there is a chocolate walk, kids make and take Christmas crafts, festival of wreaths and mini-trees, free pony rides, free horse-drawn carriage, plus more.
