MACOMB – Western Illinois University students are interested in learning more about global academic program opportunities. If so, students can attend the Transatlantic Atlantis degree information session from 3:30-4:30 p.m on Wednesday, March 4 in Stipes Hall, room 121.
Atlantis is a dual-degree program, that was founded in 2007. The program will offer students an opportunity to study and live in France, Sweden and the U.S.In addition, it’ll allow students to earn an undergraduate and graduate degree in business or a Master of Business Administration (MBA) within four years. Students will study at INSEEC in Lyon, France in the fall and at Linköping University in Sweden in the spring during their third year of study, with the first two years being completed at Western. The fourth-year is spent in the U.S. at WIU, where students will obtain their second bachelor's degree or an MBA.
This program provides students with the opportunity to strengthen their professional resume by showcasing their academic achievements; exposes them to European and American commerce and culture; and enables them to be part of an alumni network of graduates from France, Sweden, and the U.S.
Since the start of the program, 278 students have graduated from the Atlantis Program and are currently working in senior-level market research, management, operations, and logistics positions. Several graduates are entrepreneurs who started their own businesses.
