On November 19, 2019, at approx. 1:32pm, the Tri-County Drug Enforcement Narcotics Team (Trident), assisted by LaSalle County Sheriff’s Deputies and LaSalle Police, conducted buy/bust operation in the 2900 block of IL 178 in Utica, IL.
During the operation Trident Agents conducted a controlled purchase of approx. five (5) grams of purported cocaine from Samantha L. Schillaci (35) of 1934 Crosat St in LaSalle, IL. Following the delivery Schillaci drove her vehicle westbound on Rt. 6 where she was stopped by LaSalle County Deputies and taken into custody. On Schillaci’s person agents found an additional five (5) grams of purported cocaine. Schillaci was transported to the LaSalle Police Department, by LaSalle Police, for further investigation.
Following the investigation Schillachi was charged with Unlawful Delivery of a Controlled Substance – Cocaine (Class 1 Felony.) Schillachi was later transported to the LaSalle County Jail where she is being held.
All subjects are innocent until proven guilty by a court of law.
