Macomb Police continue to investigate an early Sunday altercation on W. Adams St. An eyewitness video posted to the Macomb News Now facebook page shows what seems to be an attempt to use a vehicle as a weapon during a fracas early Sunday morning in front of a residence on the 700 block of West Adams Street in Macomb. The video shows what seems to be a group of several dozen young men and women engaged in some sort of fight in the front yard. At one point in the video, someone backs a car out of the driveway, nearly striking several people. The car heads east on Adams while people on the street hurl objects at it. Soon, the car returns to the location and appears to attempt to strike some of the people taking part in the disturbance. No one seems to be struck, however, and the car continues west to the next corner, where it executes a u-turn and heads right back toward the group of people in front of the house, appearing for a moment to mount the curb in what seems to be an effort to hit some of the individuals. Macomb Police Chief Curt Barker told Macomb News Now that the investigation is continuing with interviews being conducted, and more information will be released when available.
Screencap of video posted on Facebook and You Tube by Derek McCleary shows what seems to be someone sitting on the hood of a car that just apparently tried to strike a group of people on the 700 block of W. Adams Street in Macomb in the early morning hours Sunday, Feb. 2.
