The crime log incidents posted may not match the crime statistics as reported in the Annual Campus Security and Fire Safety Report per the federal Clery Act, as the crime log is compiled using the Illinois Crimes Code and the crime statistics are required by law to be compiled using the Federal Uniformed Crime Reporting definitions.
According to federal law, an institution may withhold any of the required fields of entry, e.g. the nature, date, time, location and/or disposition, if any of the following conditions apply. Disclosure is prohibited: by law; would jeopardize the confidentiality of the victim; would jeopardize an ongoing criminal investigation or the safety of an individual; would cause a suspect to flee or evade detection; or would result in the destruction of evidence.
On. Oct. 11 at 1:34 a.m. Eric Powell, 18, of 1217 Thompson Hall, was issued a notice to appear Nov. 6 for a state violation of driving with a suspended license in the Thompson Hall parking lot. He was transported to the McDonough County Jail at 1:51 a.m. where he was processed and released.
On Oct. 13 at 4:13 p.m. OPS and the Macomb Fire Department responded to a fire alarm at Thompson Hall. No smoke or fire were found and no injuries were reported.
On Oct. 14 at 2:33 p.m. Juliana Prado, 20, of 107 Albert Street, was issued a notice to appear Nov. 28 for a Macomb City ordinance violation of illegal consumption of alcohol by a minor in Q-Lot.
On Oct. 14 at 8:58 p.m. Craig McDaniels, 47, of Chicago, was issued a notice to appear Nov. 15 for a state violation of driving with a suspended license and obstruction of justice on Western Avenue. He was transported to the McDonough County Jail at 9:09 p.m. where he was processed and released.
On Oct. 15 at 9:44 p.m. Nekiah Jones, 19, of 403 Grote Hall, was arrested for domestic battery in Grote Hall. She was transported to the McDonough County Jail at 9:45 p.m. where she was lodged pending bond.
